The Experimental Aircraft Association, also known as EAA, is an organization comprised of members with a range of aviation interests and backgrounds. Founded in 1953, it maintains antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicoptors and contemporary manufactured aircraft. The organization administers the Young Eagles program, which was launched in 1992 and provides opportunities for youths to fly in general aviation airplanes. The Experimental Aircraft Association operates the EAA AirVenture Museum, which features historic artifacts, as well as provides a variety of flight demonstrations. It also offers the Aeromedical Advisory, Air Academy and Aircraft Financing programs. Additionally, the Experimental Aircraft Association provides scholarships and library services, as well as organizes several workshops.
