History
Cultural Cloth grew out of a love for the traditional arts around the world. We began with our connections in Guatemala. Jody Slocum was involved with NGO work in Guatemala and together with textile artist Mary Anne Wise they began working with artisans in Guatemala. The goal is to bring economic opportunities to the talented artisans we are privileged to represent. We opened our storefront in 2012 and In 2013 we bought a dilapidated building in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin, renovated it and opened Cultural Cloth in our own building.
