It isn't too often you walk into a gas station and you're greeted by clerks as friendly and funny as Nancy and Kathy. "We're happy clerks," says Nancy. "Sussex is a small town, we're one big family." In the short time I spent talking with them, they knew (or seemed to know) every single person who walked through the door. Though Quick Corners is a Mobil station, it is independently owned, with 11 gas pumps, an air pump, firewood, propane tanks and a well-stocked convenience store inside. Quick Corners makes fresh, homemade pizza on-site and has a bakery as well. Quick Corners has been at its current location, on the corner of Waukesha Avenue and Silver Spring Road, for seven years. If you're having car trouble, Nancy and Kathy's mechanic friend Gary, who lives across the street, can come over to give you a hand. Quick Corners has been featured in Wisconsin Lottery Magazine, where both Nancy and Kathy have won "Employee of the Month." Kathy adds, "We truly care about our customers, and we want to make sure they have a smile when they leave."
