La Crosse Parks & Recreation
La Crosse Recreation Department has been operational for more than 45 years. The department provides a wide variety of leisure and recreational activities, cultural events, park facilities and other services. It also organizes various health, fitness, relaxation and community-based events. Open from Monday through Friday, the department offers several picnic kits, including bats, balls, horseshoe sets, volleyball equipment and a variety of other sports equipment. It also offers online information about Green Island Ice Arena programs, volunteer and employment opportunities, applications for the use of parks, playfields and other facilities, and fall adult flag football schedules. Located in La Crosse, Wis., the department oversees the functioning of several reservable shelters, such as Myrick Main, Gun Club, Lower Myrick, Red Cloud, Copeland Oktoberfest, Pettibone Pavilion, Grandad Bluff, Pettibone Gazebo and Riverside ParkBand Shell.
