Headquartered in Baldwin, Wis., Baldwin Ambulance Service provides cardiac life support ambulances, serving the villages of Baldwin and Hammond and the towns of Hammond, Eau Galle, Pleasant Valley, Erin Prairie, Rush River, Emerald and Warren in western Wisconsin. Its services include 911 emergency ambulance services, interfacility transfers, special event standby, nationally accredited CPR, first aid, automatic external defibrillation courses, CPR training for the professional rescuer, first responder training, blood borne pathogen training for the workplace, an emergency pet care course and child and babysitting courses. BAS also has a bike unit to provide emergency services during special community events including parades, fairs and sporting events. It also has an explorer unit open to young men and women interested in the medical or emergency services fields. Baldwin works with United Fire and Rescue and the Baldwin Area Medical Center.
