Ausblick Ski Hill is a private ski club located on the southwest side of Sussex on Mary Hill Road. Its use as a ski hill dates back to the 1930s when a chaplain from Marquette University was seeking out hills for the school's ski club. In the 1970s it was sold to a private company, which added upgrades including Wisconsin's first triple chair lift. Today the club also boasts snow-making equipment, grooming equipment, a cooling pond, lighting, a chalet and a garage. Ski instruction is offered, as well as racing and snowboard programs. The word "ausblick" means "scenic view or overlook."
