History
Established in 2004 by Faythe Levine (Milwaukee based artist, Sky High Gallery curator and director of Handmade Nation: the rise of D.I.Y Art, Craft & Design). She was inspired after selling her work at the Chicago Renegade Craft Fair in 2003 and wanted a similar community event that supported young makers in Milwaukee. Since the first event in 2004, Art vs. Craft has drawn over 10,000 shoppers and over 450 different vendors from the Midwest and beyond.
