The American Society of Agronomy is a nonprofit, scientific organization dedicated to the conservation and appropriate use of natural resources to produce food, feed and fiber crops. It serves members through placement service, publications, certification programs, and recognition and awards. The American Society of Agronomy s resident education division is responsible for handling matters related to curricula and serving as a liaison between students and scientists. The organization s agroclimatology and agronomic Modeling division specializes in the study of meteorology and atmospheric phenomena as they influence plant growth. The American Society of Agronomy also operates a store sells apparel, multimedia items and books.
