Amber Latsch is board certified in midwifery. She obtained her BA in women’s studies from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and earned her master’s in nurse midwifery from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Amber’s medical interests include midwifery model of care, adolescent gynecologic and obstetric care, family planning including Nexplanon insertion, supporting physiologic labor and low-intervention birth, natural childbirth, vaginal birth after c section, breastfeeding support, postpartum depression, well woman exams, quality and safety in healthcare, maternal mortality and morbidity reduction, midwifery education and precepting, LGBTQ friendly care, and advocating for women’s health care autonomy and control. Amber is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is board certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. In her time away from work, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys, being outdoors, and hosting game nights (mostly virtual these days). ”My approach to midwifery focuses on empowering my patients and placing them at the center in making their own health-care decisions.
