American Society of Agronomy is an international nonprofit educational society headquartered in Madison, Wis. The society is dedicated to the conservation and proper use of natural resources to produce food, feed and fiber crops while maintaining and improving the environment. ASA reaches out to its members through publications, recognition and awards, meetings and student activities and provides placement services and certification programs. The society is affiliated with many organizations including the Agronomic Science Foundation, the Illinois Soil Classifiers Association, the United States Consortium of Soil Science Associations and the Council of Soil Science Examiners.
