The West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services is a part of West Virginia Department of Education and the Arts. Founded in 1921, the division offers a variety of vocational training programs for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. It has partnerships with several area employers, workforce centers, schools, and other public and private service agencies. The West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services provides assistance with job placement, as well as develops job retention skills. The division offers interpreter, note-taking, and orientation and mobility training services for individuals with visual and hearing disabilities. It provides academic training, vocational adjustment and job coaching programs. In addition, the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services offers a variety of books, tools and other training materials.
