HistoryI first experienced the benefits of coaching when I was the CEO of a small women-owned business which was one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in America at the time. As we grew in size and complexity, each year called for reinvention of both my leadership as well as the business. Sometimes new skills came naturally and sometimes I sought support for my development. As we became more strategic in our focus, we began to direct our growth in ways that provided the kind of value which lead to a successful exit event in 2011 to a Fortune 500 company.
