Fairmont management Service Department is a public utility agency operated by the city of Fairmont in West Virginia. The city was chartered on 1899, and has one of the largest municipalities in Marion County in W.Va. The departments of the city include Planning and zoning department, rental, risk management, delinquent utility bills and sanitary sewer board. The city is governed by a city council headed by a manager. The city offers its citizens and business owners a wide range of professional and governmental services. It also offers professional police, fire, building and code enforcement, land use planning, and water and sewerage service. The city has various places of tourist interest, such as Valley Falls State Park, High Gate, Marion County Museum Round Barn, Coal Country miniature golf course and Downtown Fairmont Business District. It also has various recreational areas with tennis courts, such as Morris Park, Windmill Park and Palatine Park.
