Founded in 1974, Daymark advocates at-risk youths and their families in the community. Its Patchwork program is a crisis shelter for runaway and homeless youths between the ages of 11 and 18. The organization serves individuals in the Greater Kanawha Valley area in West Virginia. Daymark offers food, clothing, and individual, group and family counseling services. It also administers the Turning Point program, which helps to learn cooking, basic household cleaning and money management skills in family-like atmosphere. The organization s New Connections program provides case management and substance abuse prevention services. Daymark offers resume writing, interviewing skills development and job availability information solutions, as well as career awareness activities.
