Charleston Job Corps Center, founded in 1965, is a coeducational facility that administers a variety of residential, education and job training programs for people between the ages of 6 and 24. The center serves more than 70,000 students through a network of over 115 training centers throughout the United States. It also offers integrated academic, vocational, and social skills training programs. The Charleston Job Corps Center provides high school diploma in the fields of business, automotive mechanics, carpentry, culinary arts, facilities maintenance, hospitality, medical office support, painting and network cabling. The center additionally offers a range of extracurricular activities, such as basketball, volleyball, softball, flag football and soccer. The Charleston Job Corps Center maintains one of its locations in Charleston, W.Va.
