Cabell County Emergency Medical Services (CCEMS) has been providing high-quality emergency medical and rescue technical services to the citizens of Cabell County and the City of Huntington, West Virginia since 1974. Their mission is to deliver fast and efficient pre-hospital care, whether it's for illnesses, injuries, rescue operations, or natural disasters.
CCEMS recently became the first ground agency in West Virginia to be approved for a pilot program to administer blood products in the 911 setting, thanks to a partnership with St. Mary's Medical Center. This program, expected to be in service this fall, will significantly improve patient outcomes and pave the way for other EMS agencies in the state to do the same.
