History
A Little Bit of Our History - Our Physical Plant The YWCA Wenatchee Valley was incorporated in Washington State as a non-profit 501c3 on January 2nd, 1957. The YWCA association was able to first lease, and then buy the Baptist church, located at 212 First Street, with money provided by A.Z. Wells as a gift. The sanctuary of the church was torn down leaving a building that contained offices, Sunday school rooms and meeting rooms. A parking area replaced the sanctuary of the Church. This comprises the current building. In 2011 YWCA Wenatchee Valley Opened YWCA Thrift Store on South Wenatchee Avenue. It didn't take long (less than a year) for the thrift store to grow out of its first location and was moved to 231 North Wenatchee Avenue, Wenatchee.
