The YMCA of the Inland Northwest, established in 1884, provides programs, classes and activities for children, families and the community. The organization offers aquatic programs that include swimming lessons, lifeguard training, kayaking and water cardio classes. It also provides training in gymnastics, martial arts, weight training, skate boarding, triathlons, cross country, music and dance. The YMCA of the Inland Northwest sponsors several intramural sports activities, such as football, volleyball, cross country, cheerleading, basketball, soccer and baseball. The organization runs a Camp Reed Challenge Program that includes swimming, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, archery, pottery and painting.
