Aki Kurose Middle School Academy serves students in grades six through eight. It conducts classes in a range of areas, such as digital music, computer programming, robotics, game design, image editing, video production, Internet radio, Web design, cartooning and animation. It also has a foreign languages department that offers classes in French, Spanish and Chinese. The academy additionally has departments for music and drama. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, social studies, science, mathematics and computers. Aki Kurose Middle School Academy has counselors, speech therapists, reading specialists and psychologists on its staff. It is located in Seattle and is a part of Seattle Public Schools. The academy, in addition, offers bilingual, special education and spectrum classes at all grade levels.
