The Housing Authority of Snohomish County (HASCO) was established in 1971 to provide affordable housing and enhance the quality of life by building safer and stronger communities. It owns and manages more than 2,000 units of subsidized and affordable housing. The housing authority partners with various social service agencies throughout the county to offer skills families need to thrive. The Housing Authority of Snohomish County operates a variety of rental assistance programs that serve over 5,000 families, seniors and disabled individuals, such as tenant-based assistance and public and affordable housing. It supports a single-family rehabilitation loan program that provides home improvement loans to low-income homeowners. The housing authority maintains an office in Everett, Wash.
