Snohomish County Department of Parks and Recreation offers a wide variety of recreational activities on more than 10,000 acres of park lands. Located in Snohomish, Wash., it has been operational for more than 35 years and creates, maintains and improves Snohomish County parks. It protects and enhances the county's natural resources and is operated by the Snohomish County. The parks and recreation department has various divisions, including facilities and planning. It offers a variety of facilities, such as camping, cabins, community center, yurts and picnic shelters. The department provides various recreational, camp and summer activities, including bird watching, camping, fishing, golf, hiking, walking trails, horseback riding, paddling, rollerblading, swimming and whale watching. Additionally, it organizes various environmental workshops and programs.
