The Sequim Community Orchestra, formed in 2012, is a non-competitive ensemble consisting of around 60 musicians of all ages who come together to improve their performance skills and experience playing in an orchestra. With a focus on the musical development of its members, the orchestra welcomes amateur musicians who play orchestral instruments and offers a friendly environment for honing and sharing their skills.
The orchestra performs three times a year, showcasing orchestral music for the community. Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm at Swisher Hall in Sequim, and attendance at all rehearsals and performances is expected. The orchestra also collaborates with the Sequim String Kids and participates in various events and festivals, contributing to the vibrant amateur music scene in the area.
