The Public Works Department is governed by the City of SeaTac in Washington. The department designs, constructs and maintains streets and public facilities. It has an administrative division that provides capital program development, budgeting, waste management, recycling and resource conservation solutions. The Public Works Department also issues building, grading and drainage permits, as well as offers development reviews and field inspection services. Its engineering division reviews commercial and residential site plans for building developments. The department s additional capabilities include traffic control, signal maintenance, neighborhood enhancement and painting. The Public Works Department provides a stormwater management program that includes natural yard care and pet waste and landscaper education.
