Action is an evangelical, nondenominational missionary-sending agency that works in major urban centers of Asia, Latin America and Africa. Action provides services to neglected and abused children and their families through practical ministries that specialize in reaching the urban poor. The agency has more than 160 missionaries in 13 countries. Action works in cooperation with local churches and other national organizations to reach people, train them in Christian living, and assist them in their physical and economic needs. It put special emphasis on ministry to the urban poor that include needy street kids, orphaned and abandoned babies, squatters, prostitutes, and prisoners in various places, such as Metro Manila, Philippinnes, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Bogota, Colombia.
