HistoryI'm an unstoppable entrepreneur who began selling AVON at age 14, landed on Wall Street at age 17, and shattered the glass ceiling by age 21 when I became a retail bond trader. My goal was to improve the sales of bonds to retail clients by working with RRs in 5 branch offices. Since I was 1 of 2 women on the trading floor (working with 400 men) I had the opportunity to mentor and coach secretaries and clerks -- women and a few men -- to transform them into the positions they wanted as associates or junior traders. Over time, I slowly got involved in the operations of the trading unit I worked in and the updates to processes or new systems I created were then used by 3 different trading departments. I have an innate knack for marketing and streamlining operations. After a car accident had me sitting down quite a bit, I decided that it was time to start a business doing what I enjoyed.
