As a litigator, Bruce has been awarded the highest rating by the national lawyer-rating service, Avvo.com. After graduating in 1994 from the UW School of Law near the top of his class and serving a judicial externship for a Supreme Court Justice, he has served 10 years as a Special Assistant Attorney General on child abuse cases, and litigated over one thousand cases in a wide variety of areas of the law, primarily family law. Bruce now serves on the Board of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Bruce is also a mediator, mediating since the late 1980's when he trained lawyers, judges, therapists and other professionals in domestic mediation skills with Pacific Family Mediation Institute. Bruce was Co-President of the Mediation Consortium of Washington State in 1989. A founding member of the Spokane County Collaborative Professionals, Bruce was certified in Collaborative Law in 2007.
