Since 1963, Pioneer Human Services has been providing services in housing, employment, training, treatment and counseling. Based in Seattle, Wash., it has served more than 100,000 clients, including people on the margins of society overcoming the challenges of chemical dependency, mental health issues, criminal histories and chronic homelessness. The organization offers employment related technical training, professional development training, management training, supervision and safety training. Additionally, it provides resources in coaching, assessment, performance improvement, program development and instructional design. As a national model of social enterprise, Pioneer Human Services' enterprises include retail cafes, institutional food, sheet metal fabrication, aerospace precision machining, wholesale food distribution and contract packaging and fulfillment.
