Established in 1970, The Nova Project is an alternative high school that provides learning opportunities to more than 280 students in kindergarten through grade 12. It administers classes in various subjects, such as reading, math, writing, science, social studies and history, as well as Spanish, French and Italian. The Nova Project also offers language arts and special education programs. It has a parent-teacher-student association that provides support for parents and teachers, as well as organizes a variety of extracurricular activities and fundraising events. Additionally, the school conducts seminars and multilevel classes. It is a part of Seattle Public Schools, which governs elementary, middle, high and alternative schools. The Nova Project is located in Seattle.
