NAMI Clark County is a nonprofit organization of family members and friends of people who suffer from severe brain disorders, such as schizophrenia and bipolar, schizoaffective, depressive, obsessive-compulsive, panic and anxiety disorders. It also serves people who suffer from autism and pervasive developmental, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders. The organization provides education and support and funding for research. It also offers information and education for adequate health insurance, housing, rehabilitation and jobs for people with brain disorders. Founded in 1979, NAMI Clark County is a member of NAMI Washington State and is affiliated with the National Alliance on Mental Illness. It is located in Vancouver, Wash.
