Based in Snohomish, Wash., Mission Farrier School offers horseshoeing school education programs with an emphasis on in-depth equine science. Located at Faith Equestrian, it is a 20-acre horse facility and provides an eight-week program integrating traditional Farrier school education with Natural Balance Farrier science. Offering four sessions per year, the school offers training in hoof preparation, biomechanics and anatomy of the equine limb and healthy foot function. Additionally, it provides hands on experience in regular/performance/therapeutic shoeing, hand forging shoes and more. The school offers continuing education programs, including trail challenge clinics for building horsemanship skills. As a referral center for lameness rehabilitation cases, it also trims and shoes horses of all breeds. Mission Farrier School has attained license from the Washington State Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board as a private vocational school.
