Established in 1910, Madison Elementary School offers a range of educational programs to students in kindergarten through grade eight. Its curriculum includes reading, writing, music, physical education, math, art, science and English. The school maintains a library and media center that features a collection of books and reference and instructional materials. It also employs a school nurse, speech language pathologist, and before- and after-school supervisor. The school operates a parent-teacher organization that conducts several fundraising events and programs. It administers special education programs, as well as provides health services. In addition, the school organizes a variety of events, including skate nights. Madison Elementary School is a part of Spokane Public Schools, which governs various educational institutions.
