By the late 1990s I'd had bookkeeping jobs for a long time already when I received a grant to attend community college to fill in my accounting education. I had a private client or two on the side by then when I went to work for an independent bookkeeping firm who provided services to the general public. I learned all about handling the distinct bookkeeping needs of simultaneous clients. I also discovered that I really enjoyed giving good service, and that it was natural to me to go above and beyond, every day. That was where I got laughed at for saying,
