Established in 1977, L'Arche Tahoma Hope is a nonprofit organization that is registered with the Washington Secretary of State Charities Division. It is a part of the International Federation of L'Arche, which provides care services for people with developmental disabilities. L'Arche Tahoma Hope maintains homes that provide lodging services for disabled people. It also organizes activity and employment programs and conducts Noah's Workshop. The organization employs live-in assistants and caregivers who offer support services. It features L'Arche Farm & Gardens, which provides opportunities to participate in support work options, including weeding, making handmade paper and watering. Located in Tahoma, Wash, L'Arche Tahoma Hope receives funds from the State of Washington, as well as individuals, businesses, churches and private foundations.
