Founded in 1947, Lake Stevens Fire provides a range of fire prevention, rescue and emergency medical response services. It offers services to more than 30,000 citizens of Lake Stevens area in Washington. The department provides an injury prevention program, risk watch, which addresses the causes of injury and death to children under the age of 14. The program focuses in the areas of motor vehicle accidents, suffocation, poisoning and strangulation. Located in Lake Stevens, Wash., it offers educational, training, blood pressure checking and smoke detector installation services. Lake Stevens Fire additionally provides fire investigation and building inspection services. The department operates over three fire stations throughout the City of Lake Stevens.
