The Kent City Engineering Division is a part of the Public Works Department of the city of Kent, Wash. Its construction engineering section manages all city and public development projects and reviews proposed developments of commercial, industrial and residential sites. Its design engineering section designs and manages all city municipal public works projects, such as storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water and street systems. Its environmental engineering section is responsible for the preservation and enhancement of the natural environment. Its transportation engineering section designs and manages traffic devices, such as signals, lighting, and lane markings; and manages special programs that offer improved travel options and traffic flow. Its survey division provides technical information on topography, locations and the physical environment to support public and city projects.
