The Juanita Bay Pump Station was built beginning in 2005, and continuing into 2009. The original pump station had been built in the 1960s and was no longer able to handle the capacity of water. The pump station sends the water along to the Renton Waste Water Treatment Plant, where millions of gallons of water from homes, schools and offices are treated every day. The building is very attractive, and the landscaping is well done, incorporating several species of native plants along with other Northwest favorites like snowberry.
