History
Ruby started teaching yoga in Bellingham in 2009 at the La Vida Dance Studio when it was in a small, slightly moldy space on State St. Then she moved to a more spacious room in The Old Foundry Building. For awhile it was a Middle School and she taught her yoga classes in what was their gym. Besides teaching a handful of classes there, she also managed the blossoming studio as more of her collegues started their classes there as well. After 2 years there, the bldg. went up for lease. The prospect of moving locations was scary, but once she was shown the newly rennovated space upstairs at 1411 Cornwall Ave., she was in awe and just knew that it was going to be their new space. Even though her own business is still called Kokoro Yoga, her and her husband thought it'd be cool to call it Inspire Studio to allow for other teachers to stay autonomous and for modalities beyond yoga to be there. It's a beautiful space that will hopefully continue to blossom and grow.
