The World Association for Children and Parents, founded in 1976, is an international nonprofit adoption agency in the United States. The agency has placed more than 9,000 children with adoptive parents and has also provided food, medical care and education to nearly 200,000 children in over 10 countries. It provides international and domestic adoption services and humanitarian programs for orphans in India, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Russia, China and Kazakhstan. The agency provides pre- and post-adoption services, including adoption home studies, counseling, pre-adoption education, court reports, post-placement services, social investigative reports, home study updates, birth parent counseling, educational and informational seminars and community resources. It offers education, guidance and support to parents and reaches out to women facing unplanned pregnancies. The World Association for Children and Parents is located in Renton, Wash.
