Gause Elementary School is a learning center that was named after Washougal resident and school board member Omer Gause. It has a staff of more than 60 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes a psychologist, health clerk and guidance counselors. Gause Elementary School provides educational services to over 550 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school is a part of the Washougal School District, which operates over five schools with a combined annual enrollment of nearly 3,000 students. Gause Elementary School also provides meal, transportation and health care services to the students and is located in Washougal, Wash.
