Washington Park is located right off of Military Road SW. If you are not paying attention, you can drive right by the entrance. Once in the free parking lot, you will notice a large grassy park area. This neighborhood park is a favorite for dog walkers and family celebrations. Although the park does not include a sheltered picnic area or seasonal restrooms, it makes up for that with its basic necessities. The park includes a clean playground, half a basketball court, benches, a picnic table and a walking path around the baseball field. Washington Park currently offers a Port-a-Potty on site and is close to a large suburban area of Lakewood. Trees dot the park, making it a nice place to hang during the summer.
