Earl's is a veritable icon of local business. Retired owner Earl Bensel opened his old-fashioned barber shop in 1961 and, with his son Adam, has cut more than five generations of hair. Though humble enough not to drop names, Earl's has seen its share of famous heads from Seahawks to Mariners to local billionaires. Men and boys will feel right at home amidst the sports and hunting decor or while working on a puzzle in the antler trophy room. Every year, Earl's donates hair cuts to local elementary school auctions and Earl repairs old baseball gloves for young Kirkland athletes.
