History
Daybreak Youth Services was founded in Spokane in 1978 by Bill Yakely. The organization expanded to Southwest Washington in 1999 when it opened an inpatient facility for boys on Falk Road in Vancouver. Daybreak closed its Falk Road facility in May 2017 when the all-gender RWC Center for Adolescent Recovery opened in Brush Prairie. Daybreak began offering Psychiatric Evaluation & Treatment services at both of its inpatient locations in late 2017.
