Columbia County Commissioners works to assure that the business, services and functions of the county proceed with efficiency and integrity, using sound judgment and practices. It is the executive and legislative authority for Columbia County in Washington. The county government operates through emergency management, juvenile services, planning, public health and sheriff departments. It also governs the offices of the county assessor, auditor and treasurer. The county government operates a public works department that responsible for activities related to the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of various infrastructural systems for the community. The office of the treasurer is responsible for the billing and collection of real and personal property taxes.
