History
A group of Christian Science students began to meet in Olympia early in the 20th century. In 1917, the group was recognized as a branch of the Mother Church. The congregation built an imposing Greek Revival Building on 8th Avenue between 1925 and 1947, where it held services until 2004, all the while maintaining the Reading Room at different downtown locations. The church is now located at 1475 Evergreen Park Dr SW in west Olympia.
