Children's Home Society of Washington
Established in 1896, the Children's Home Society of Washington is a full-service community mental health organization. It offers pre- and post-adoption counseling, search assistance and educational services to birth and adoptive parents. The organization also provides case management and supportive services, as well as parent training and children nurture programs. It offers the Foster Care Assessment Program, which is operated by the Department of Social and Health Services and Children's Administration, as well as includes medical services in partnership with the Regional Medical Center. The Children's Home Society of Washington provides legal, social and counseling services for children who suffer from sexual and physical abuse and emotional and psychological traumas. The Children's Home Society of Washington maintains one of its facilities in Auburn, Wash.
