History
Browne Family Vineyards was founded by Andrew Browne, proprietor and CEO of Precept Wine. In 2000 Andrew laid the groundwork to source from legacy vineyards, culled top wine talent and launched his first vintage in 2006. This premium Washington wine makes its tasting room home in Walla Walla shared with esteemed boutique winery peers Cavatappi, Ross Andrew Winery, and Waitsburg Cellars.
Specialties
Set in the birthplace of Browne Family Vineyards, Walla Walla, the winery opened its tasting room in May 2014 at 31 E. Main street in the historic downtown district. Here, guests can meet the winemaker at select events, enjoy one of the few patios in town for al fresco sipping (Happy Hour: Th-Sat 4-7 p.m.), or taste inside among brown leather tufted sofas and wingback chairs admiring hewn woodwork and carefully curated lifestyle merchandise. Additional wines from friends and colleagues round out this compelling mix: Ross Andrew, Rhone reds; Waitsburg Cellars, old vine aromatic whites; and Cavatappi, Washington-grown Italian varietals.
