Boys & Girls Club of Spokane County, established in 2001, is affiliated with the national program of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. It offers five-core program initiatives including arts, sports and fitness, social skills, character development and leadership development and education and career development. The club, based in Spokane, Wash., provides prevention programs for youth, including gang, alcohol, drug, tobacco, teen sex and unplanned pregnancies. B&GC of Spokane County offers a range of after-school programs and activities for children and disadvantaged youth ages 6 through 18. The club s events include sporting activities, open house, campfire pajama reading party, crazy hair day, bingo games and various outdoor activities. It also arranges field trips to the Cat Tales Zoological Park.
