Opening on the first day of summer in 2003, it did not take Bottega Italiana long to draw critical acclaim for it's authentic Italian gelato and family-style atmosphere. The Bottega Italiana story began 5 months prior to the opening of its doors when native Italians Luca Guerrieri, Antonella Ragazzi and David Arato met at an Italian-speaking night in Seattle. What started as two homesick Italians quickly formed into the business partnership that is Bottega Italiana. From its conception, Bottega Italiana has boasted the bustling, familial atmosphere of the proverbial Italian business. Whether enjoying one of Bottega's velvety gelato, or a smooth Illy espresso, or one of their delicious Panini's, salads, or soups; customers enjoy quick, personal service just as they would in the heart of any Italian city.
