The Bitter Lake Community Center offers a variety of programs and special events for people of all ages. It offers Discovery Corner, which is a prekindergarten program for children between the ages of 3 and 5 and involves them in several activities, such as art and craft making, music and outdoor games. The center conducts a drop-in program, Brain Play, which serves toddlers and their parents and offers a variety of activities and discussions on different areas of toddler development. It also conducts school-age care programs for children between the ages of 5 and 12. The center also organizes various before- and after-school care programs for students in kindergarten through grade five. In addition, it provides opportunities for youths to participate in a variety of sports activities, such as soccer, flag football, volleyball and basketball. The Bitter Lake Community Center is located in Seattle and is managed by the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department, which manages several parks, centers and swimming pools.
