History
Basilico was opened in December of 2005, by Arlindo Campello, and his family. In 2014 Giampaolo Falchetti entered into partnership with Arlindo, and purchased the business outright in 2015. Since then, he has sought to maintain the tradition of excellence that Arlindo, Silvia, and Sid shared, while bringing in a few touches of his own. Basilico began selling our fresh hand-made pasta at the Olympia Farmer's Market in April of 2015.
Specialties
Basilico specializes in authentic (or as close as possible) Italian food, primarily drawing from Central and Northern Italian cuisines. Our pasta is made by hand, including our rotating selection of seasonal ravioli. Our sauces are all made from scratch, and some, like our traditional Ragu' Bolognese, simmer for 4-6 hours to get that special concentration of flavor. We also take great care to serve our guests with special dietary restrictions. We have a full Gluten-free menu, including gluten-free hand-made gnocchi, ravioli and egg pastas.
